When taking CBD, to make sure you get the most out of it you want to choose the most bioavailable method available. Most often choose CBD oral drops which are a classic option for taking CBD, but the inclusion of CBD vapes has quickly risen as one of the most popular methods to use. Due to the inhalation method that completely bypasses the digestive system, and enters the bloodstream quicker through the lungs, CBD vapes and disposable CBD vapes are a great option for those looking to get a quick, strong feel for CBD.

But even with vaping there can be some variables on how long CBD stays in your system.

How much you use/CBD strength

It comes as no surprise that depending on how much you vape and the dosage of CBD from vaping you take, the longer the CBD will stay in your system. The FSA advises that CBD users should have no more than 70mg a day. Someone who uses less than this is likely to notice the effects of CBD may fade quicker than those who use the maximum amount.

How often you vape CBD

The frequency of how much you vape CBD can also determine how long it stays in your body. CBD works best by building up in your body over time if used regularly, and by keeping this optimum level topped up helps keep you in balance. That is why it is suggested you should use CBD vapes and disposable CBD vapes for at least a week to see if it works for you. If you only use CBD occasionally then it will clear from your system quicker and you may be less like to notice CBD’s effects.

Your biology

A key variable in how long our systems retain CBD is of course our biology. Everyone is different and that is why CBD just doesn’t work for some people, or why others take longer to feel its effects. Anything from your BMI, water content and metabolism to your genes can be responsible for how long CBD stays in your system. For example, someone with a high metabolism is likely to not keep CBD in their system very long.

How long do CBD vape effects last generally?

Depending on your chosen CBD vape, some will have effects which are felt quicker and stronger. For example, our 1500 puff disposable CBD vape pens contain around 0.7mg of CBD per puff. That means to get your daily amount, you would want to enjoy around 100 puffs a day. It’s important to remember though that it’s not an exact science since vaping doesn’t really offer an easily measurable amount of CBD. Depending on your vaping method and how well you vape, you may take a little more or less of CBD with each puff.

CBD vapes are great though for topping up the CBD in your system as you can enjoy a few puffs whenever you needed. As mentioned before, due to the method of inhalation, it allows for CBD to reach your system much quicker than most other methods, meaning you’re more likely to feel its effects quicker also.

Generally, the effects of CBD tend to wear off after a couple of hours, depending on the variables mentioned earlier. When vaping CBD you’re likely to feel the effects within 15 minutes of vaping, so if you’re starting to feel CBD’s effects tapering off, a couple of puffs very well can top you back up. We suggest trying CBD for a week at low strength, gradually increasing until you find a comfortable level which you can maintain. For example you can try our 150mg CBD disposable vape pens, CBD Go, to get you started before upgrading the our latest 1000mg CBD disposable vapes.
